H&M makeup haul review

Hello there my beauty lovers, today is another review on some new products and boy are you in for a treat. This is defo a cuppa & snack post!

When I heard that H&M were revamping their beauty range, I got very excited. Before now H&M did a small selection of beauty/Skincare products, which on a whole were good. I loved their makeup brushes, face masks, body spritzers and some of their makeup bits. Their packaging was rather simple and straight forward though.

Now….. Oh My GOODNESS! Firstly their packaging has a more luxurious look and very sleek. There is a MASSIVE range of cosmetic, brushes, skin & body care and nail varnishes. So of course I had to buy a ton of stuff haha. I tried to pick a good range of products to test for a full face of makeup – but of course I forgot mascara and face powder. But after testing all of this I’m very excited about picking up a mascara and powder now. I did however opt to purchase the finishing powder in a darker shade as all the bronzers were shimmery and I wanted a more matte one to contour with.

Lets jump in with face products. So I picked up 4 items and I’m going to spoil this by saying these are easily 3 of my new favourite items! Ride or die right here.

All day liquid foundation – cool beige

A liquid foundation with a comfortable formula offering easy application and a flawless finish. Provides buildavle, medium to full coverage with great staying power that keeps you fresh-faced through your the day. SPF 15 and suitable for all skin tupes’.

It’s been ages since falling totally in love with a foundation. This is heaven on your skin and the finish is stunning. It says it’s a flawless finish foundation and they didn’t disappoint. It applies beautifully leaving your skin ‘flawless’, it lasts all day and is so light weight on. This does everything it claims to do, I’ve been getting so many compliments about my makeup while wearing this foundation. It comes in 12 different shades and retails at £7.99 for 30ml Well worth it! The consistency is great it’s not too runny and not too thick making it perfect to blend.

Cover up concealer

‘A creamy concealer with a medium buildable coverage for a natural finish. The lightweight formula helps to correct minor imperfections and dark circles’.

Everything about this is awesome. It blends well, provides coverage and really highlights (when using a lighter shade) plus is stays in place once set. I got the shade Alabaster which is perfect for highlight and really brightening your under eyes. This retails at £4.99 for 2.2ml and comes in 6 different shades.

Precision sponge

This my friends is a game chancer and for £1.99 is amazing. My new favourite way to apply my foundation & concealer. I love this more than my beauty blender and real techniques sponge at the moment. It’s easy to clean and feels so soft.

True matte finishing powder

‘A lightweight mattifying powder with a fine cashmere finish’.

I used this as my bronzer as I like the colour pay off and at the time the only bronzers available were too shimmery or too muddy. I got it in the shade Olive and this suits my fair complexion fine, to bronze up my skin. This blends and applies really well, the formula is velvety and the finish is matte as it says. It retails for £7.99  for 9g and comes in 6 shades. I’m going to pick up my true face shade as I really want to see how it works as a face/setting powders.

Next up we have Eye & brow products. Again another game changer in here.

Superfine browliner

This my friends is a brow game changer! Its so similar to the goof proof pencil from benefit. It gives you natural looking brows that stay all day. The pencils is retrackable and has a brush at one end. I’m obsessed with how this makes my brows look. A good affordable dupe for sure. At £5.99 it’s amazing and it comes in 4 shades.

Soft eyeliner pencil

This is a old fave of mine. I have their older one in white and it’s my favourite white liner out there. So when I saw it in ‘pale nude’ I had to grab. This is the perfect nude to make your eyes more awake and fresh lookin and it has great staying power too. For £2.99 for 1.3g is a really bargain and must have.

Eyeliner and eye colour brush

This is a great idea a duo makeup brush that actually works! The eyeliner side is great for applying powder liner or to get right in under your waterline. Then the eye colour side is perfect for blending out colours in the crease. So affordable at £3.99, a great travel partner and so soft too. Recommend this!

Eye shadow palette – ready, set, glow

These are great for travelling with as you get 9 shadows – a mix of matte and shimmery, I love using the black as a liner. This palette is great for day and night, it’s stunning.

What I love is that with this you receive A little booklet with 3 different eye looks you can recreate. The mirror is a decent size and quality. This comes in 6 different options and retails at £9.99, this was for me out of the bunch the better shade choice. Although there is a rose gold one I want to get too. They blend well, the pigment is good (same are better than others) the glittery ones have a little fall out (what glitter doesn’t) but over round a great palette.

Lip definer – Au Naturel

I love liners that are creamy and just glide on. These are very similar to the KYLIE lip kit liners. They last all day too! These come in 4 different shades and retails £3.99 bargain.

Cream lipstick

These are definitely creamy and have great lasting power. Very pigmented and have a lovely shine, I found these to be very moisturising too. The colour range is massive and all so lovely, it’s so hard to pick. I got peach fuzz and I’m totally in love with this shade for my skin tone. It’s a lovely nude that isn’t too pale or dark and has the right amount of peach/pink tone, plus the packaging is stunning. At £7.99 it’s a great highstreet lipstick with that high end feel.

Lastly I saw this little palette while I was in the que. I noticed the blush first and thought perfect, as I needed a blusher for my haul. Then I noticed the white shade and thought BINGO! there a highlight. This was only £3.99 for 4 shadows and a blush. What a little gem. The shades are beautiful and pigmented and they blend well. The blush I will add is VERY pigmented so be careful.

Over all I’m so impressed with everything I purchased, not one item disappointed me or was poor quality. For the price they are very luxurious and give you a more higher end feel. I’m excited to try more things. I did get some face mask that I’ll review separately for you guys. Thanks for reading guys, means the world. Take care and I’ll see you soon xoxo
